The National Stadium (Romanian: Stadionul Naţional) is a football stadium currently under construction in Bucharest, Romania, in the Lia Manoliu Sports Complex. According to the stadium builders, the construction will be completed in August 2011 (information updated on February 2, 2011) and will host the games of Romania's national football team, as well as the Romanian Cup and the Romanian Supercup finals. The Final of Europa League 2012 will be held on the new stadium. This will be the very first final of a European football club competition hosted by Romania. [3]

The stadium is being built on the site of the former National Stadium, which was completed in 1953. It will be an UEFA Elite stadium.
